THE LUSTY MANNEQUINS

The Lusty Mannequins are Ashley Comeau, Alastair Forbes, Karen Parker, and Connor Thompson: the Four Horsemen of the Comedy Apocalypse!*

All four are alumni of the Second City Mainstage in Toronto, combining for over 60 years of comedy experience.

They have taught and performed the world over, from Bratislava to Barcelona, from London to the Gulf of Mexico (aboard a cruise ship). In 2016 they co-founded the Mama City Improv Festival in Cape Town, helping to create the first ever international improv festival on the African Continent. They have appeared in commercials and TV shows and films and have sung with symphonies and written plays and podcasts, alongside folks like John Cleese, Robin Duke, Martin Short, Colin Mochrie, and the Kids in the Hall.

They have gathered many accolades including Canadian Comedy Awards, Dora Award nominations and most recently the ‘Best of the Fest’ from the 2018 Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival last March. Most recently, they just got back from a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with their hit show Uncommonwealth.

All four are on the faculty of the Second City Training Centre in Toronto, where they teach improv to people of all ages and skill levels.

They continue to tour the world teaching, promoting and performing comedy. Follow their exploits on Twitter and Instagram @lustymannequins

*Alastair stepped on a bird once, so he would be Death probably.

Ashley Comeau is an improviser, producer, actor and writer hailing from Toronto, Canada. Ashley is a Second City alumna who wrote and starred in three revues at The Second City Toronto which garnered her a Dora nomination and a Canadian Comedy Award nomination. She was named Best Female Improviser in Toronto from NOW Magazine’s “Best Of Awards 2015” and just won a Canadian Comedy Award for 'Best Live Ensemble' in Second City's first all female-identifying revue, She The People.

She performs all over the world with the Lustys. They’ve toured Europe, North America and have been to South Africa twice for the Mama City Improv Festival (which Ashley co-founded!).

She acts, writes and produces for TV and stage now, used to be a tour guide, and almost became a funeral director. That pretty much sums her up. You can follow her on Twitter here: @ashleycomeau
